Winning this pageant would help me build a network of creative and dedicated minds in Worcester’s queer community. That would help propel any future endeavors hosting events, and fundraisers and creating new spaces for the queer community to feel safe and embraced. My position at MB Lounge has already gotten my foot in the door with collaborating and learning how to create events. Adding a pageant title plus being supplied with a community of hard-working and authentic queer creatives would most definitely help solidify my ideas for furthering the beautiful community Worcester has maintained.

Winning would mean a lot to me. I love inspiring other unique individuals through my dancing. It’s more than just dancing and performing for me. It’s about spreading positivity and uplifting others who don’t have a voice or confidence. There’s already enough hatred going on in the world today. Why not change that with positive energy? All it takes is one person to believe in you and you are absolutely golden. There is no such thing as failure. When you win you win but when you lose you learn. There’s always room for growth. Once you reach your highest potential that’s when you win.

To win the pageant would be incredibly rewarding for several reasons. The queer community in Worcester has done so much for me in the short two years I’ve lived here. I would be honored to have an opportunity to repay everything the community has done for me and work to make Worcester an even more welcoming, diverse, and accepting city with more outlets and opportunities on a regular basis, especially for those who are younger and have to wait hoping that a queer and underage-friendly event will pop up.

I was born and raised in Worcester my entire life. As a first generation Asian American, growing up it was hard for me to find where I belonged. Where I could truly be myself and be accepted. Worcester although being very diverse, had no strong gay male Asian role models for me to look up to. Winning would mean the world to me, that I have become the role model that I always wanted for myself as a kid. Someone who is smart and confident and proud to live their best authentic self. Someone who could represent all of their cultures and be accepted and appreciated for all that he is. It would be an honor to be able to earn the title of First Majesty.

It would showcase my ability to not only be a trans person who does drag, but a trans person who does drag and does it well. I’ve used this as a coping skill and hobby for so long and I’m taking it seriously now.

It would mean a lot of my hard work and dedication finally paid off. I’ve always wanted to win this crown mostly for myself and also for the people who love and support me and who really believe in me. I also feel that it will mean that I’m going in the right direction. Sometimes I feel as if doing drag isn’t getting me to where I want to be but those are just my random thoughts. I will never quit. This is my life; this is my art and I love doing what I’m doing. I would love to win but in my eyes, we are all winners for having the heart to stand on a stage in front of so many people.
