Pride Worcester is a collaborative and diverse community effort. Applying to join one of our committees is making a commitment to Pride Worcester and the LGBTQ+ community members we serve.
Although we are going to assign you to a committee that is led by a board director, we always welcome and desire folks to work together with other committees and directors — we are a team.
What to expect to include when you submit this application:
Your demographic information, experience, and a photo included in this application will be shared with current board members during the voting process.
A summary that highlights your relevant skills and experience. Are you a social media maven? Are you a color-coding organized freak? Do you have design, photography, and/or video skills? Have you worked with youth? We want to know all about you.
While you may rank your interest in the listed committees, you must be open to joining any of the open committee roles.
Our 2024
Pride Committees
Administration & Festival: Focused on creating and maintaining systems/databases, organizing, data tracking, and more. The Administration and Festival Committees will play an essential role in keeping everything running smoothly leading up to and on festival day, which will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
Community Engagement: Focused on engaging with and highlighting businesses, community partners, and events to get the LGBTQ+ community together. This committee will play an essential role when it comes to event planning, tabling, and networking with potential partners/sponsors.
Media Team: Focused on digital and print marketing. This committee will play an essential role in capturing photos and video during Pride Worcester events and assisting with promoting all events through flyer distribution and online channels.
Youth and Family: Focused on events and programming for youth (12-17) & young adults (18-20). The Youth and Family committee will assist with the coordination of family-friendly events and network with local community members to increase engagement. This committee will play an essential role helping ensure the Youth Prom and Youth Movie Night are successful
